According to a report in the Wall Street Journal, Amazon is preparing to compete directly with their now shipping partners UPS, FedEx and USPS.
Shipping with Amazon, abbreviated SWA, is said to be rolling out in just a few weeks in Los Angeles in conjunction with third-party retailers that sell goods on the Amazon website. The new shipping solution will cut out the middleman by doing away with fuel surcharges and minimizing extra fees associated with home deliveries.
