FROM AMWAY:
On Friday, October 14, 2022, following an investigation of two reported incidents with Amway Business Owners (ABOs) who were not following the company’s Business Rules of Conduct regarding inviting consumers to learn more about Amway, the Japanese Consumer Affairs Agency (CAA) announced its decision ordering Amway to temporarily suspend sponsorship of new ABOs for a period of six months.
The CAA has also ordered Amway Japan to take measures to provide all ABOs with re-training on the ethical business practices the company upholds. Amway will fully comply with this order.
Apart from the temporary suspension of sponsoring, the Amway Japan business will continue to serve customers, current ABOs, and the communities where our employees and ABOs live and work. We are proud of our 40+ year history as an employer and corporate citizen in Japan and look forward to the next 40 years and beyond of empowering health, wellness and entrepreneurship for the people of Japan.
